Snug Harbor Press is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Ghost Girls, Book Two: The Ghost at Widower's Pond. This second installment in the Ghost Girls series of books written by Karen Chilton and illustrated by Gary McCluskey will be available on 10.10.09, with a pre-order campaign beginning in August, 2009.
Summer Extra Credit Contest
Get “extra credit” for those book reports you have to write anyway. Students in all grades from kindergarten right up through high school can send Ghost Girls author Karen Chilton a copy of a summer reading book report and receive a prize: a Ghost Girls Books back sack. We’ll also select entrants at random to receive free copies of The Ghost at Widower’s Pond. Email your book reports to karen@ghostgirlsbooks.com.
For those of you who are super-motivated summer readers and want to guarantee yourself a free copy of Ghost Girls Book Two, we offer our Teacher’s Pet Challenge. Send us book reports on 10 (yes, TEN) books, and we will send you a free autographed copy of The Ghost at Widower’s Pond and a Ghost Girls Books back sack and tee shirt. Again, email your entries to karen@ghostgirlsbooks.com. (We’re not sure anyone will actually win this one. We hear TV, video games and the internet have turned the brains of most everyone under the age of 18 to mush, and that NO ONE reads 10 books in a summer anymore. We’d be delighted to have someone prove this theory wrong.)
